NAIDOC Week

Each year in the first week of July from Sunday to Sunday, NAIDOC Week celebrations highlight the rich and diverse cultures of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the First Australians.

NAIDOC Week celebrations and community events are a great opportunity for all Queenslanders to come together and acknowledge the histories, cultures, customs and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders.

The 2025 NAIDOC Week (6 to 13 July) theme is The Next Generation: Strength, vision and legacy.

"The Next Generation: Strength, vision and legacy” celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors."
